Christmas Eve

Ok. So today I went to the Christmas Eve family service with the family and had a blast. Then I went on over to Luli's house, had a blast and ate some awesome food (tried mole and menudo for the first time) and unwrapped some awesome presents:

Haha DC is very clever. She just taped all of the presents together! No hassle there! =)

And every year on Christmas Eve, we get to open one present from under the tree. This year i picked a present from my grandparents in Maine. My grandma always gets me the most interesting things, so I enjoy starting off the "present opening" with one of theirs. Well, this year they sent the following:

A brush and comb set (Mid-sized, for travel) and personalized stickers with monkeys, giraffes, ect.
I love them, so much. =) Hope you all have an awesome Christmas!!

Say what?!?

Ok... I was at Wal-Mart today (I know... no surprise there..) and I was walking down one of the aisles and saw the following:

(condoms and what not...)

Kids activities?! Say what?! Wal-Mart is promoting some provocative stuff!!
..goodness..

Reminiscing the good ol' days..

I was over taken by boredom last night and decided to skim through some old VHS tapes we have. I found some super old home videos of my first steps and what not... Crazy how time passes so quickly eh? Here's a snapshot of one of the videos:

Haha it looks like I was stoked to walk... awesome. =)

Footprints on the ground, meaning my dad WALKED to the train station... brave man.

The Christmas Tree

We put together our tree yesterday. Woo Whoo!!
..we've had this tree for about 16 years... so yeah. I've decided to name it Jeffery. I'm not sure why, but yes. So here it is.

Ah Environmental Science...

..you entertain me, oh so much. Ha-ha. Ok, so we went on yet another walk to the Rio Grande yesterday... and here is what we experienced:

A fish in the ditch area, possible Trout.
..we named him Nemo..

..Lucas and Carl, attempting to "spear" the fish with tree limbs..

haha Lucas... battling the fish.
Now, he did smack the fish out of the water, yet only for a moment. All of the girls in the class, including me, did not want Nemo to die a slow, painful death... So he put him back in and walked away like a gentleman...

Beautiful

Under the bridge graffiti

yessir.

Well, it looked somewhat "browner" to me...

Haha Santi and I enjoying the senic route.

Myself with Santi, Gabby (middle) and Shay (right).

Haha it looks like Gabby is creeping up on me.

Good times.

Blood!

Is what I donated today. Woo whoo!
..they ask you the weirdest questions before you can give blood..
well it only took 6 minutes to get a pint outta me, yet I still had to entertain myself somehow... so here are some pictures of my experience:

The draining process...

the beautiful view that I had..

Front of the free, over sized shirt

Back of the shirt listing the rest of the towns they were collecting blood in..

Heading back..

What I saw and experienced on the way back from Lubbock, Texas:

The view for about 2-3 hours straight

The restaurant we ate at.. it was like an old diner.

Yessir.

..the bathroom stalls were super short..

haha didn't stop my mom from havin fun, that's for sure.

We stopped at a gas station in Clovis, NM and they were selling pens. Well, one pen that is. It was originally $0.99, yet it was marked down to $0.59 when I was there. It was super tempting, but I didn't buy it.

Beautiful view along the way..

Lubbock Turkey Trott

So my aunt Kim, cousin Tara, my grandpa and myself went to the Turkey Trott this morning. My cousin ran the 7 mile race while the rest of us walked the 2 mile. haha well good news, I came in 273rd place! haha (out of 278 people). woo whoo. =)

a pond in the park we were walking through

we finished in 35 minutes and 48 seconds
we might have finished a little earlier if my grandfather didn't have to stop and use the bathroom, read the sign that gave a brief description on the founding of the park, and go to the car to get the camera. haha love him.

Everything's bigger in Texas... or so they say.

Texas is a great place to be for the holidays! They have awesome gas station food (although they have slightly inappropriate names..) and on the ride up all I saw was well, nothing. When we got into the smaller towns there were tons of old, rustic buildings that I would have liked to probe.. haha. I dig old buildings... so much history..

an occasional power line and a few old trucks were the highlight of the trip

..scenic route..

So, I didn't take a picture of this burger because of it's slightly inappropriate name... well, kinda. haha I saw this burger next to the others and realized that it didn't really live up to it's name. It isn't as big as it says it is. Shame shame.

I'm a failure...

Well, I'm off to fail my Spanish test... I just feel it coming... bummer. =) hope you all have a great day. I know I will.

Luli's animals...

tend to like me.. or just my body. They feel as if my body is a resting place. I was just sitting there, watching TV, when Sephora, the dog, just comes up and sits on my lap. Now, after trying to get her off 3, 4 times, I just gave up and let her chill there. No harm done. Now when Honey, the cat, sees that my lap space is taken, she comes over and decides to sit on my shoulder. That's cool, I guess. I'm just glad they didn't "mark their territory."

The Coronado Mall...

Scares me oh so much, yet the food and frozen yogurt is amazing. They also have cute dogs and cats, and perfume in a can!

This little guy broke my heart. He looked like he was gonna puke up a fur ball. Poor thing...

Ok, so this is by far the cutest cat I've see in a while. Her name is Almond Joy, and it looks like she's thinking "if I can't see them, they can't see me."

Perfume... in a can...

Flying Star

I'm currently upset with the Flying Star. First of all, they over charged us for our food, then gave sick attitude when we didn't have enough to pay $5 over what we should have paid, and then got upset because we didn't have 2 cents to pay the $26.02 tab. Psh. Whatever. Yet that didn't stop Santi and I from enjoying ourselves. You'll never take us down, Flying Star. Never.

so... I pretty much couldn't use the chopsticks that were provided because I don't obtain the skills needed. You can see "American" written all over my for head. ha ha.
